“Support for rehabilitation: self-management after COVID-19-related illness” guide
In the frame of the European Union (EU) and World Health Organization (WHO) joint Solidarity for Health Initiative the “Support for rehabilitation: self-management after COVID-19-related illness” guide has been presented. The guide that consists of new chapters is the second edition after the issuance of the “COVID-19 information guidelines” with recommendations for journalists published in 2020 within the EU-WHO projects.
The brochure with practical advice and support for adults recovered from COVID-19 is not only useful for patients discharged from the hospital, but also for the category of people who did not need to be hospitalized. Occasionally, symptoms may continue longer than 12 weeks which is called the post-COVID-19 condition, either the long-term effects of COVID-19, or the after COVID-19 illness. All in all, these symptoms come to nothing, however the guide provides some practical suggestions to commonly manage cases. Suggestions provided here is not to replace individual rehabilitation programs or instructions given by healthcare workers.
