Organic agriculture in Azerbaijan: current status and potentials for future development
This book includes the existing data on organic agriculture and those collected through the project activities in order to display the current state-of-art in Azerbaijan. It gives an insight into general features of agriculture in Azerbaijan, organic agriculture in the world and in Azerbaijan and the official institutional system, certification activities, legislative framework on organic agriculture, education and training, value chains, domestic and export markets, priority crops and regions in the marketing of organic products. The recommendations aim to strengthen the organic agriculture movement in Azerbaijan by proposing solutions to the existing bottlenecks.
The book is produced under the project on development of organic agriculture and institutional capacity building in Azerbaijan implemented by FAO and financially supported by the Government of the Turkish Republic.
