Baku, September 23, 2024. In the framework of the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) project implemented by UNDP Azerbaijan and financed by the Green Climate Fund, 3-day "Training of Trainers" (ToT) sessions on Climate Change Adaptation have commenced for 50 relevant government officials in collaboration with the ADA University. These sessions aim to enhance the knowledge and skills of government officials on climate change adaptation and prepare them as trainers.
It is worth noting that these training sessions are a continuation of the 2-day intensive trainings on "Project Management and Finance" and "Agriculture" in the context of climate change adaptation, which took place in July. During those earlier sessions, government officials gained detailed knowledge and practical experience in managing climate change projects, addressing financial aspects, and implementing adaptation measures in agriculture.
The ongoing "Training of Trainers" sessions are designed to equip government officials with the additional skills needed to pass on their knowledge to colleagues and take effective action in their respective fields regarding Climate Change. As a result of these trainings, participants will acquire practical competencies necessary to deliver trainings on climate change adaptation and develop strategic approaches. This represents a significant step in advancing Azerbaijan's climate change adaptation policy.
UNDP Azerbaijan wishes success to all colleagues from the participating government agencies in the trainings!
