Cost-benefit Analysis of Kahrizes and Subartesian Wells

This publication was made possible by International Organization for Migration – UN Migration through support provided by Sasakawa Endowment Fund, under the “Promoting Kahriz Rehabilitation for Enhanced Water-Related Climate Adaptation in Azerbaijan“ project, implemented in cooperation with the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency.

The cost-benefit analysis presents quantitative evidence on whether public resources are best spent rehabilitating existing kahrizes or drilling new subartesian wells in each selected hydrogeographical context: the Gazakh-Tovuz, Karabakh and Ganja-Dashkasan economic regions of Azerbaijan.
